get outside

I don’t just mean outside into nature.

I mean outside of your comfort zone. Tonight I went to the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park in San Diego. It was their 35th birthday and they had a throw back to their opening – you could pin up your own photos on their walls!

I didn’t know anyone there. I didn’t know what the event would fully entail. I was actually super tired and forced myself up from a nap to go to this. But I knew it would be fun to go, so I went.

I’ve found that sometimes I need to spend a little “activation energy” to get OUTSIDE. It is always worth the effort. I either win something or I learn something new about myself. Stretching my comfort zone is a major way I experience the world. I’m excited to see what’s to come of all this growth, and to continue enjoying the moments of being comfortable with the uncomfortable.

How can you stretch, even if just by a little bit, this week?
